228 Memorial Peace Park
Originally the Taipei New Park, this historic park situated
at the end of Kuanqian Road right across from the
Taipei Station, was renamed the 228 Memorial Park
on September 28, 1995, when the 228 Monument was
erected at the center. Inside this park the Chinese-style
pavilions, fountain, lotus pond, arched bridge, lush floral landscaping, and an open-air amphitheatre, contribute to making it an ideal gathering place for leisure and recreation.
Transportation: take Wuchang Street from the hotel going east, turn right on Zhonghua Road, turn left on Hengyang Road and go straight pass Boai Road to Chongqing South Road, and continue for about 30 meters. 15 minutes walking distance. |
